МОЖЛИВОСТІ ТА НАПРЯМКИ АДАПТАЦІЇ ФІЗИЧНИХ ОСІБ-ПІДПРИЄМЦІВ В УКРАЇНІ ДО ДЕСТРУКТИВНИХ ЯВИЩ
Анотація
The article is devoted to identifying changes in the behavior of economic entities on the example of individual entrepreneur under the influence of such destructive phenomena as the coronavirus pandemic and war. Possibilities and ways of adaptation of individual entrepreneur of Ukraine are determined, first of all, to the limitations of the activities related to the pandemic, and secondly - to the challenges caused by the war. Statistical data on the main indicators of activity of individual entrepreneur in 2020 under the influence of a pandemic in the context of separate spheres of activity and areas are analyzed. Despite lockdowns and numerous quarantine restrictions, the number of these businesses continued to grow on average in Ukraine. But there has been a reduction in the number of people employed in the vast majority of areas of activity and a reduction in the growth rate of sales to the lowest level for the period 2016-2020 in twelve areas of activity out of fifteen. The main directions of adaptation of business models of individual entrepreneurs to the destructive impact of the pandemic are identified. Among them the main ones are formal observance of anti-epidemiological requirements and their violation in order to preserve business at low risk of punishment; establishing remote communications with customers, the use of targeted deliveries and the spread of online sales; adaptation of the range of products (services) to the updated needs of consumers; reduction of costs due to layoffs or reduction of wages, if possible - the desire to partially compensate for losses by participating in government programs to support individual entrepreneurs. The ability of small businesses to adapt relatively quickly to adverse conditions, including war-related threats, has been identified. Even with a high risk of loss of life and property, they try to operate in areas where goods or services are relevant. At the same time, they solve numerous problems with securing supplies, transportation, and motivating staff. This confirms the hypothesis of significant adaptation opportunities of entrepreneurs in Ukraine to destructive phenomena and significant potential for small business development, which can be realized in favorable institutional conditions.

OPPORTUNITIES AND DIRECTIONS OF ADAPTATION OF INDIVIDUAL ENTREPRENEURS IN UKRAINE TO DESTRUCTIVE PHENOMENA
Summary
Статтю присвячено виявленню змін поведінки суб’єктів господарювання на прикладі фізичних осіб-підприємців під впливом таких деструктивних явищ, як пандемія коронавірусу та війна. Визначено можливості та способи адаптації ФОП України, в першу чергу, до обмежень діяльності, пов’язаних з пандемією, в другу – до викликів, обумовлених війною. Проаналізовано статистичні дані по основних показниках діяльності ФОП в 2020 р. під впливом пандемії в розрізі окремих сфер діяльності та областей. Виявлено основні напрямки адаптації моделей бізнесу ФОП до деструктивного впливу пандемії, серед яких головні – формальне дотримання протиепідеміологічних вимог та їх порушення для збереження бізнесу за умови низького ризику покарання; налагодження дистанційних комунікацій з клієнтами, застосування адресних доставок та поширення інтернет-продажів; пристосування асортименту продукції (послуг) до оновлених потреб споживачів; скорочення витрат за рахунок звільнень працівників чи зменшення оплати їх праці; за можливості – прагнення частково компенсувати втрати шляхом участі в державних програмах підтримки ФОП. Визначено, що навіть в умовах високих ризиків втрати життя і майна, обумовлених війною, ФОП намагаються здійснювати діяльність в тих сферах, товари чи послуги яких є актуальними, вирішуючи чисельні проблеми із забезпеченням поставок, транспортуванням, мотивацією персоналу. Це підтверджує гіпотезу про значні адаптаційні можливості підприємців в Україні до деструктивних явищ та значний потенціал розвитку малого бізнесу, що може бути реалізований у сприятливих інституційних умовах.
