CURRENT TRENDS OF LABOR MARKET TRANSFORMATION

Summary

The aim of the article is to study current trends in the labor market and the impact of technologies that have already replaced the content of human labor. The article examines the impact of technological progress on the transformation of the professional structure of employment. The formulation of new challenges both for production systems and for society as a whole in the conditions of uncertainty and instability of the economic situation, during the rapid global technological changes. It is noted that the professional structure has already changed in many countries. The analysis showed that the process of new jobs creation is polarized by highly and low-skilled groups, and jobs that require a medium level of qualification and routine operations are eliminated in the first place. It is noted that the vast majority of professions that exist in the labor market are heterogeneous in their internal content and represent a set of various tasks, so automation is not subject to certain professions as a whole, but only some functions.
The share of middle-skilled occupations in the total employment of OECD and developing countries is analyzed. The change in the share of employment by professions in Ukraine is calculated. It is noted that in Ukraine there is a gradual increase in the polar share of those employed by profession, but in the middle of the professional scale there is no failure. Changes in the structure of the employed population by qualification and occupational groups in Ukraine are calculated on the basis of the distribution by occupations in accordance with the latest version of the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO). The relevance of the nature of polarization that is formed in Ukraine is calculated. The professional distribution of the employed population by qualification and spheres of economic activity and the professional distribution of the employed population by qualification and spheres of economic activity in Ukraine are offered. This made it possible to conclude that changes in the distribution of the employed population by qualification occur as a result of the process of structural change, which is the flow of employment between agriculture, industry and services.
