ЕКОНОМІЧНИЙ ОГЛЯД СИТУАЦІЇ НА СВІТОВОМУ РИНКУ ФАРМАЦЕВТИЧНОЇ ПРОДУКЦІЇ ПІД ВПЛИВОМ КАРАНТИННИХ ОБМЕЖЕНЬ COVID-19
Анотація
У статті розглянуто сучасний стан і тенденції розвитку світового фармацевтичного ринку, а також висвітлено трансформації, що пов’язані з карантинними обмеженнями COVID-19. Визначено основні країни-лідери галузі на 2020 рік і швидкозростаючі країни, що у перспективі можуть стати сильними гравцями на фармацевтичному ринку. У статті надано географічну структуру світових доходів галузі у розрізі країн-лідерів, що генерують 89% доходів фармацевтичної промисловості світу на 2020 рік, а також визначено провідні країни за експортом та імпортом лікарських засобів. Здійснено аналіз показників стану функціонування найбільших фармацевтичних компаній світу та встановлено кореляцію між загальним доходом компаній та витратами на НДДКР. На основі дослідження існуючих препаратів «блокбастерів» визначено їх вплив і загрози для фармацевтичних підприємств.

ECONOMIC OVERVIEW OF THE SITUATION ON THE WORLD PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF COVID-19
Summary
The article considers the current state of the global pharmaceutical market, as well as highlights the transformations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The main leading countries in the industry in 2020 and fast-growing countries have been identified. These countries may become strong players in the pharmaceutical market in the near future. The article provides the geographical structure of global revenues in the industry by leading countries, which generated 89% of the global pharmaceutical industry revenues in 2020. The main exporters and importers of pharmaceutical products by country were monitored, as well as changes in contrast to 2019. These ten leaders shipped about 70% of world exports and about 60% of imports. The main companies-giants of the pharmaceutical industry, which formed the national markets of the countries, were also covered. The state of the main regions development of the pharmaceutical market is characterized, including: North America, EU countries, non-EU European countries, Latin America, the Indian subcontinent, Asian countries. The analysis of the largest pharmaceutical companies functioning in the world was performed by the authors according to the following indicators: income, R&D expenditures, the share of R&D costs in total income, number of employees, labor productivity. The article raises the question of the importance of R & D for the pharmaceutical industry and the justification for investing large sums in the new drugs development. The correlation between companies' total revenues and R&D costs that was analyzed using the calculation of the correlation coefficient. Based on a study of existing drugs "blockbusters" was identified their impact and threats to pharmaceutical companies.
The paper also determines a number of problems for industry enterprises that were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The main trends and prospects of the industry development in the conditions of COVID-19 are revealed, which defined the importance of adaptation for the pharmaceutical industry enterprises. Conclusions are made on a number of patterns of the world pharmaceutical market development.
