CONTEMPORARY FORMS OF INTERACTION AND INTEGRATION OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE: THEORY AND PRACTICE

Summary

The aim of the study is to identify theoretical aspects of forms of interaction and integration of education and science and foreign practice for the development of Ukrainian educational and scientific space. The following general scientific and special methods were used in the research: logical analysis - to study foreign experience of interaction and integration of education and science; grouping, comparison and description - to study theoretical aspects of integration of scientific and educational activities and their classification. The analysis of interaction and integration of educational and scientific activities allowed us to find their main types, types and forms. The classification of forms of integration of education, science and business, based on the definition of forms of interaction according to the following features: structure and composition of the innovation ecosystem, was proposed. The study has shown that the integration of education, research and production abroad is an essential component of socio-economic and technological development in many countries around the world. Analysis of practical experience of science and education integration in different countries has shown that the forms of integration have significant features. The forms of integration of science and education according to the American university model, the Japanese (Asian) model, and the European mixed model are distinguished. New forms and structures of integration of higher education, science, industry, entrepreneurship, funding sources, regional and local governments and authorities emerge under the conditions of market relations, which allow effective implementation of new technologies of the 21st century. Consequently, the study proves that the university, in spite of ongoing transformations and changes, is currently the most attractive form of science and education integration. But experience indicates that trying to copy foreign models in the domestic format is almost unrealistic. In order to adapt to the conditions of functioning of domestic SIEs it is necessary to develop effective socio-economic mechanisms for the integration of science, education and business sector, taking into account modern technologies of educational and research space.

Keywords: integration; education; science; science parks; research parks; models of science and education integration.
