РОЗВИТОК ЗОВНІШНЬОЇ ТОРГІВЛІ УКРАЇНИ В УМОВАХ ГЛОБАЛЬНОЇ НЕСТАБІЛЬНОСТІ

Анотація

Статтю присвячено дослідженню тенденцій та особливостей розвитку зовнішньої торгівлі України в період глобальної нестабільності, викликаної пандемією Covid-19. Використовуючи дані офіційної статистики, визначено, що зниження показників зовнішньої торгівлі товарами і послугами відбувся в межах прогнозованого СОТ рівня падіння світової торгівлі загалом. Зміни у співвідношеннях експорту та імпорту дозволили покращити сальдо зовнішньоторговельного балансу. Аналіз товарної структури та структури послуг дозволив виявити галузі, в яких в найбільшій мірі знизились показники експорту та імпорту за 3 квартали 2020 року. Проведений аналіз підтвердив, що пандемія не є визначальним фактором кризового стану вітчизняної зовнішньої торгівлі. Заходи підвищення української економіки повинні бути направлені на стимулювання розвитку переробних галузей, підтримку експорту вітчизняної продукції з високою доданою вартістю.

DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE'S FOREIGN TRADE IN CONDITIONS OF GLOBAL INSTABILITY

Summary

The article is devoted to the study of trends and features of Ukraine's foreign trade in the period of global instability caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Using official statistics, it is determined that the decline in foreign trade in goods and services occurred within the projected WTO level of decline in world trade in general. Changes in the ratio of exports to imports improved the foreign trade balance. The analysis of the commodity structure and the structure of services revealed the industries in which the indicators of exports and imports decreased the most in the 3rd quarter of 2020. Travel and construction services were the most vulnerable in this crisis. Services that require physical border crossing, due to the impossibility of such a function, were provided in a much lower amount compared to the same period last year. At the same time, services provided via the Internet strengthened their position and showed growth. The development of Internet services is noted. In the commodity structure, exports of crop products, which is the leader in exports of Ukraine, and base metals and articles thereof decreased the most. However, due to price fluctuations, the decline in the physical volume of exports was much smaller. Imports of mineral products, hides and skins, base metals, machinery, equipment and mechanisms, and electrical equipment decreased significantly. The analysis of the geographical structure reflects the decline in foreign trade with the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union, the establishment of trade relations with China.
The analysis confirmed that the pandemic is not a determining factor in the crisis of domestic foreign trade. The analysis of Ukraine's export structure allowed us to conclude that the main export goods are goods with low added value and low level of processing. Imports are dominated by mineral products and their derivatives, as well as products with high added value, often made from Ukrainian raw materials. Measures to enhance the Ukrainian economy should be aimed at stimulating the development of knowledge-intensive industries, processing industries, supporting the export of domestic finished products.
